NYC GUIDE – Peruvian Cuisine at Panca

It has been a while since I last wrote a restaurant review here, and it’s been a while since I last took you to the West Village. I’ve walked by Panca‘s window many times without paying attention to it, or maybe the window was not very attracting, until friends booked a table there for brunch. I’m always up for new cuisines and since they seemed to love it, it didn’t take long to persuade us to try it. Panca is a Peruvian restaurant. I didn’t know much about Peruvian cuisine, all I knew is that I love Pisco Sour.Everything we ordered at Panca was very tasty, and particularly the entrees. The 2 different quinottos (quinoa risotto) were delicious, but the best entree we tasted was their “Gnocchis Andino”. I’m starving right now and I’m craving for those creamy gnocchis!

We came early for brunch and the restaurant was not crowded at all (as you can seen on my pics), but I won’t be surprised if it is packed on weekend nights (the founding, ex-chef and the new chef are renown). Good thing though, you can book a table (here). And if you go for diner and are still up to party, walk a block up and go get some fun at Marie’s Crisis, a friendly Piano bar I love!
